Ninja Mode

Today was my first singing lesson ever! Which I was totally pumped and nervous about...YIKES! My instructor was super nice (which always helps) and she told me some things that were new to me--I thought I was an alto, turns out I'm actually a soprano. Who woulda thunk lol. All in all, not only did I learn some things but I had fun, I can't wait til next week--let the journey begin.

To the nails heehee...

Hiiiyy-Yaaaa! Gmail has this mail theme of ninjas, that I think is totally awesome (the Tea House is one of my favs too heehee). I like to see all the different scenes that they have the characters doing and sometimes I even change time zones just to try and catch a scene I haven't seen before, I know--that's nerdy lol. So as I was looking at my polishes I noticed I had this super rich blue that would be perfect as the background for my ninja theme. So I painted a ninja with nun chucks, one posing, two ninjas peeking, a couple of weapons, and a Japanese rising flag. I also tried my hand at drawing/writing Japanese characters, I think they turned out pretty good (on my left pinky it means 'friend' and on my right thumb it means 'love'). I was bummed that it was so rich in color that it was hard to see the designs on my nails. :( To solve that dilemma I just did the base color for my other hand in a beautiful aqua-blue, which turned out just as nice.  Maybe I'll do something with that Tea House theme too :)

For the base I used Orly's 'Bailamos'. For the ninja eyes, body and the Japanese characters I used Wet & Wild's Wild Shine 'Black'. For the face of the ninjas I used Sally Hansen's SALON' 'All the White Stuff'. For the nun chuck handles I used So Easy Stripe Rite's 'Copper'. For the chain of the nun chucks and the blade I used Orly's 'Dazzle'. For the rays of the Japanese rising flag I used Orly's 'Poison Apple', all topped off with 2 coats of Seche Vite.
